May Meetup!
Let’s get thing back on track!
Our next Refresh Meetup will be Thursday, May 6th. We realize that there may be a Penguins playoff game this night, that’s why we’ll be kicking everything off at 6:00 PM in room 740 at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.
AIP is located downtown at 420 Boulevard of the Allies. Take the gold elevator up to the seventh floor. Take your first right and the room will be a few doors down on the left. We’ll be in room 740. There may be a security guy at the door – if there is just let him know you are there for the Refresh Pittsburgh meetup. As always, A HUGE thank-you goes out to our friend Norm Huelsman for offering to host a Refresh meeting at AIP.
We have a an interesting presentation this month. Jon Dascola will be joining us and presenting:
“A Designer’s Take on Apple’s iPad SDK”
While Apple’s iPhone SDK provides a wealth of information for developers, designers are often at a disadvantage when it comes to getting started building mobile apps. I’ll talk about what documentation a designer should understand, the basics of application architecture and show working examples from an iPad app currently under development.
Jon Dascola is an Interactive Designer at Elliance, Inc in Pittsburgh PA. You can learn more about him at his website or seek him out on twitter @dascola .
We look forward to seeing you all this Thursday!
